RE: The cats told me!!!

I would hope you will check your "sticky trap" often and humanely dispatch the critter rather than let it die a lingering death. Oh, please! It is a rat. No animal deserves to suffer a long lingering cruel death. Have a heart. Amen, Missy120

RE: Songs you still wanna CRANK UP, even after all these years!

WOW! What a great topic and a great blast from the past. In addition to the classic rock and classic country I would have to throw in some Funk and Jazz. Super Freak - Rick James We Want the Funk - Parliment Anything by George Benson and War. Ok, I admit I have an eclectic taste in music. I guess that is why people I know from all age and ethnic groups are always wanting copies of something. Terri

RE: Campground Etiquette

I can see why some would find that annoying. DH would love it if our favorite campground had people that came and did this just so he wouldn't have to. Terri

RE: Are You A Licker Or A Chucker?

Funny, I happened on this thread right after finishing a yoghurt. Licker - definately!!!

RE: ALWAYS use the DEADBOLT...

DH has brought up the idea of storage a few times to give us more off street parking in snow emergencies but I can't stand the thought of having the Roo not within sight. Terri

RE: Season is Over

One more trip for us this coming weekend then it's wash, wax & winterize. We have talked about dry camping later in the year if weather permits. Since we have no family to spend the holidays with we are free to do whatever we want. Terri

RE: Watch carefully which CG you stay at in Tennessee

On Labor day weekend we had a family camping across from us in a very old raggedy camper and an old junker car. They dressed and looked to be very poor. Our site was between them and the waterfront. They never walked through our site and they were polite and the children were well mannered. I'd rather camp next to them than someone in an expensive camper that lets their children terrorize the entire area. Terri

RE: Rejected Because RV over 10 Years Old

Move to Southwest Ohio. I know the perfect campground for you. Riverfront, great owners and campers and no snobs. Terri

RE: My little Papillon Lucy "fer" is a thief

That is just too funny. My Pap isn't a thief but one of my cats is. We call her kleptocat. Terri

RE: Little dog has a problem with gulping/gasping air??????

My Pap does this occasionally also. The nostril thing always works. The only time he wes under anesthesia was when he was neutered and there were no problems. Terri

RE: Pet death question

This doesn't answer the question but it is an interesting story. Several years ago our daily UPS driver came into our office looking green around the gills. He wanted to use the phone to call his supervisor. There was a horrible smell in his truck and nasty liquid leaking from one of the boxes. He was told to return to the terminal and switch trucks. The next day he told me that UPS had contacted the shipper and was told that their little dog passed while they were on vacation. They just put him in a box and shipped him home for burial. I was amazed that anyone would do that! Terri

RE: purchasing a rockwood travel trailer

We are in our second season with a Rockwood Roo 19 that has the cream/stainless package. We love it. The cabinets are in no way inferior. They are made of higher quality wood than I have seen in other makes. Even our contractor was impressed when I pointed them out to him. The light interoir is so much brighter. It's just the two of us and we have had no rela broblems with them getting dirty. If we see something in them we wipe them off and they come clean easily. Ohhh!!! just talking about it makes me want to go camping.

RE: carry the dog on the flatbed while towing? VIDEO ADDED

The difference seems to be if the dog is seen as a beloved pet and part of the family or just property.

RE: carry the dog on the flatbed while towing? VIDEO ADDED

It seems like I heard something on the news a couple of years ago about a state, don't remember which one, that outlawed dogs riding in pick up beds. Personally I cringe every time I see this. Terri

RE: Advice, I need it!!!

The Titan pretty much nailed it. As seen is my sig we tow a Roo 19 with an Explorer. It really does quite well except for on steep hills.

RE: spider!!

I'll be honest, this totally creeps me out! I have to admit that I have arachniphobia. My sentiments exactly. I am also not afraid of snakes and am rather fascinated by them but if I see a spider I yell for DH and leave the area immediately. Terri

RE: Paying off the house - always make sense or cents?

In certain situations it could just be a question of who to pay the money to, the bank or the government. We paid off our 30 year mortgage in 10 years by paying extra on it each month and periodic lump sums when possible and have never regretted it. That put us in a good enough situation that when DH lost his job at 50 years old we were in no danger of losing our home. Terri
